Established in 1968, Ace Hardware of Woodbury (formerly Kens Hardware) has been providing friendly courteous service going on four decades. Christopher Wolf, the current owner, took over the store in early 1999 at its original location. In 2004 he expanded it to its current location and has increased product lines to meet customer needs. The store has been designed to provide shoppers with solutions to their home improvement needs by having an extensive array of quality products, coupled with hands-on service, under the same roof.
"The design of the store, along with our highly trained staff, focuses on helping consumers solve their home improvement problems", says Chris Wolf, owner. "This environment not only makes shopping for home improvement supplies a less daunting and intimidating task for do-it-yourselfers, but also creates a unique and helpful shopping experience".
Signature areas of the store include Ace Color Your Life, Cabot, Weber, Lawn and Garden, Expanded Housewares and Tool and Hardware departments. "Our new Ace store builds perfectly on our 'helpful hardware folks' tradition", he says.
The store has been designed inside and out to bring helpful, convenient home improvement service and advice to consumers of all ages. The store stocks more than 20,000 products on-hand, and can readily tap into an additional 35,000 products carried in the Ace regional supply center.
For maximum customer convenience, Ace Hardware of Woodbury is open Monday through Thursday 8 am. until 6 pm, Friday and Saturday 8 am. until 5 pm, and Sunday 9 am. until 1 pm.
Chris Wolf started his career in hardware as a teenager here in Woodbury 20 years ago in his uncle's store. He purchased the store in 1999. Through his involvement in the store, the Woodbury Volunteer Ambulance, the Lions Club and other civic groups Chris witnessed community's growth. The need was present for a store that could serve the town with a larger, expanded selection of products. When the opportunity presented itself, Chris seized it. |
